How can I get a YouTube topic channel?

Don’t get blue, here’s a how-to 🤗

Any release distributed by RouteNote to YouTube Music will become available on YouTube as an arts track. Art tracks are contained within a playlist on an automatically generated topic channel, known as ‘Various Artists’ topic channels.

To get your content on a topic channel through RouteNote, please upload a release and ensure that you select YouTube Music as a store.

At first, your release may appear on a Various Artists topic channel, as shown below, but they should be migrated to a unique channel under your artist name within 30 days.

Please let our support team know if your unique topic channel has not been created for you after this time, and they will get in touch with YouTube to resolve this for you.

If you’d like to have control over your topic channel, or merge your topic channel with your owned and operated channel, YouTube now offers a service that upgrades these channels into an Official Artist Channel (OAC).

If you have any further queries, feel free to get in touch with us!
