What’s happened to Google Play Music?

Google Play Music says audios! 👋

The music services from Google Play have finally shut down.

Both Google Play Music’s streaming and download services are no longer in operation. They have now merged with YouTube Music, so if you’ve uploaded content through RouteNote to Google Play, this has been automatically added to YouTube Music.

The store selection page on your releases has now been updated to include YouTube Music and not Google Play.

If you’re a Google Play Music user, you can also transfer your music library over to YouTube Music so you don’t lose all of the music you’ve saved to your account. You can do this by heading here.

You also have the option to download your data via Google Takeout, or delete your data through your Play Music account settings.

You can see Google Play Music’s statement via this link.
