Did you Spot this problem? 🔍
If you have noticed that either the order of your release on your Spotify artist page is incorrect, or the date visible for your release is wrong, this article may help explain why this has happened! It will be due to the way that Spotify uses the dates included within your release.
Spotify display live releases on your artist page in order from newest to oldest. To do this, they use the dates included within the metadata of your release. When multiple dates are listed across your release, Spotify will take the oldest year listed on the release and use that date as the date the release became available.
If you would like to avoid this, or fix this, we would recommend putting the current year in the C Line of your release’s metadata.
