Don’t do it if you want to keep your sound-track record 💿

If your release is a cover of a soundtrack (for example, a collection of covers of tunes from the Harry Potter movies), you won’t be able to use ‘soundtrack’ as the genre tag for the release.

The original pieces of music are on the soundtrack to a movie, but your covers of them aren’t!

If your RouteNote release contains covers of soundtracks, please don’t use ‘soundtrack’ as a primary or secondary genre. Instead, choose a genre that suits the release – perhaps ‘Instrumental’ will work if there are no vocals on the tracks.
