A compound artist is two or more artists that are credited as one artist. For example, Simon & Garfunkel are two separate artists, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, that have come together to form a compound artist under the name of Simon & Garfunkel.

Here’s some more examples of compound artists:

Chad & Jeremy
Seals and Crofts
Hall & Oates
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Peter, Paul and Mary
