Got some content with a volume or a part? Here’s a guide to give you a head start!
Stores have some requirements about how part and volume are formatted in titles.
‘Part’ has to come after a comma at the end of the title, and needs to be formatted as ‘Pt.’ (with the capital P and full stop being essential), followed by a number.
For example, here is the incorrect and then the correct way to format a ‘Part’ track title:
Primary artist: Lil Joe
Incorrect track title: Flexin’ part one
Primary artist: Lil Joe
Correct track title: Flexin’, Pt. 1
‘Volume’ has to come after a comma at the end of the title, and needs to be formatted as ‘Vol.’ (with the capital V and full stop being essential), followed by a number.
Again, here is an example of the incorrect followed by the correct way to format a ‘Volume’ track title:
Primary artist: Lil Joe
Incorrect track title: Murder Bubbles Volume One
Primary artist: Lil Joe
Correct track title: Murder Bubbles, Vol. 1
