If you wouldn’t play the track to your mother, then it probably needs an explicit tag.
It can be difficult to know whether your release is ‘explicit’ or not, so here’s some pointers that may help.
Explicit releases are anything that references the following:
• Drugs
• Inflammatory Lyrics
• Profanity
• Sexual References/Depictions
• Violence
If your release (including your artwork) contains any of the above, you will have to label the whole release as ‘explicit‘, however you can label each track as explicit or non-explicit.
Please note! You can only feature the ‘Parental Advisory’ label within your artwork if the release is explicit.
