Action, Review, Approved, or Removed, find out here if you’re confused! ðŸ§
When uploading a release to RouteNote, it will be stored in your ‘Discography’, regardless of the status. There are four statuses your release can be in:
- Action Needed
- In Review
- Approved
- Removed from Sale
Action Needed
If your release is under ‘Action Needed’ it means… that your action is needed. The moderation team have sent it back to you with some comments, hoping you’ll action whatever it may be that they’ve asked. This can be both before and after your release has been approved.
When you first submit your release to the moderation team for review, they may send it back if you need to make any changes. Don’t worry, they will have left notes on your release for you to follow!
If any updates made to your approved release have been denied, a message stating why will be sent to your registered email. You’ll find your release that needs changes under ‘Action Needed’. Please keep an eye out for this!
When you have finished making changes to your release, make sure you submit it back to the moderation team.
In Review
Once you have submitted your release to the moderation team, either for the first time or after making changes to your approved release, you will find your release under the ‘In Review’ section of your ‘Discography’.
If your release is pending moderation, you won’t be able to edit it. If you need to make any changes during this time, you can request to do so through our support team!
Approved
If your release is under the ‘Approved‘ section in your ‘Discography’, then good news – your release has been approved by the moderation team and will either be live on stores or on its way!
Once your release has been approved, it will be available on most of your selected stores within 7 – 14 days. Please note that if you set a sales start date later than this, your release will not become available until that date.
You can make changes to your approved release such as adding stores, editing artwork, artist names, album names and other general metadata changes by clicking edit on your release within your ‘Discography’.
Removed from Sale
If your previously approved release has been removed from sale, you will be able to see it in the ‘Removed from Sale’ section in your Discography.
Unfortunately, we are unable to delete approved releases from your RouteNote ‘Discography’. Anything that has potentially earned income must remain in case it is needed for auditing purposes.
If you change your mind and would like to reinstate any of your previously removed releases, let us know! Please reach out to our support team with the release UPC.
