Here’s the definition to help with your composition ðŸ§
A composer is a person who writes music.
The composer can be used for someone who’s also playing on the track, but it’s more often used for crediting a composer who isn’t performing on the release; e.g. someone has written a musical that’s being performed by other performers.
Please note! The publishing details section of your release requires you to enter the first and last names of any composers and lyricists involved in the release.Â
We ask for your first and last name as these are the identifiers (as well as track/album names) that are used in order to pay publishing earnings to songwriters. It is crucial that you enter this information in order to make sure publishing royalties flow to the correct rightsholder.
