This article is just a remix of the dictionary.
A remix is a track that contains elements of an existing recording, usually combining and editing snippets. Remixes often contain added material, e.g. new instrumental or vocal tracks.
The remixer role should be used when the track is a remix of a track that already exists. The person who’s done the remix should be given the remixer role, and the primary artist from the original track should be given the primary artist role in the remix, too.
Please ensure that the remixer role isn’t used for someone who produced the track, made the backing track used, or a DJ on the track.
