Spot the difference? 😖
When you receive earnings and statistics in your RouteNote account, the figures may sometimes differ from what you expected. There are a few reasons why this can happen!
The earnings and statistics themselves, which include streams, views and downloads, are based on different factors. They can depend on which territory the music is released in, the platform’s revenue generation model at the time, and other factors calculated by our partner DSPs.
Streaming and view statistics take into account how a long a track is played for. This means that if a track is only partially played, it will not receive the same earnings as a complete stream. This also counts if it is streamed for under 30 seconds.
It is also good to know that some of our partners only report monetisable streams to us. This will mean our numbers may not match theirs.
Please note that views and streams from users with ad blockers are not monetised on YouTube, which may also have an impact on your statistics and earnings.
Finally, it is worth knowing that some of our partner stores report 75 days after the end of the month, or even on a quarterly basis. To find out when certain stores are reporting, please check out this article- When will I see my statistics for each store?
