TikTok is known for giving awareness to musicians and spreading recognition of their music. For these reasons, TikTok have created Songwriter accounts, a chance for lyricists to gain proper acknowledgement of their work. This is great for our users here at RouteNote!

This is a small scale feature, with hopes of growing to reach a wider audience. It is only available to a limited number of publishing partners and songwriters, but watch this space as it is sure to grow over time! Also, if you feel this is something which you are interested in, you can sign up to a waitlist, which can be found by searching your particular country and the words TikTok Songwriting account waitlist.

Turning your profile into a Songwriting account will add a Songwriter label on to your page. You will also be given a Songwriter Music Tab on your profile. This will be a place designed to highlight tracks you have written or co-written, to aid discovery and awareness of your work. The benefits are great!
