You won’t come up short with this feature ✨
YouTube Shorts is a great way for creators to get discovered! Shorts’ potential is huge; you don’t want to miss it! Through Shorts you can engage with your audience in a format that YouTube is currently prioritising. So get on it whilst it’s hot!
Getting involved by creating your own Shorts opens up a huge opportunity to be watched by new viewers on the many places Shorts are displayed across YouTube. You can use them creatively to promote your music and artist personality in unique ways. This could be behind the scenes videos, snippets of upcoming content, talking to fans, or whatever else you can imagine! Even simply making a skit unrelated to your music can open you to a larger audience. It’s a win-win!
YouTube Shorts also has an Audio Library which provides huge potential for tracks to go viral and for artists to be heard by new listeners. Through the Audio Library, any creator can explore YouTube’s full music library and select a track to use as the soundtrack of their Shorts. This library is open to all creators and using this means that a track has the potential to reach millions of viewers when Shorts get viewed.
Please note–
YouTube Shorts that use a track from the Audio Library will feature the track’s cover art in the bottom right. This can be clicked on by viewers to access the sound page for the track which shows more videos which are also using that song. Moreover, there is then the option for fans to head straight to the music video for that track or create their own Short using the sound.
It’s been proven with TikTok that being featured in a viral video can lead an artist to blow up and convert into new listeners and higher stream!
