After all your hard work, you’ll want to make sure your release goes to the right artist page!
When adding artists to your release on RouteNote, you should now be able to select any claimed Spotify artist pages. When you start typing the artist name you’ll see a list of artist pages to choose from, select the correct artist page or if you don’t have a Spotify artist page yet, please select ‘None of these artists‘ on the drop-down menu.

If you’re linking one of the artists on your release to their existing Spotify profiles, there are a few things you’ve got to watch out for.
- Make sure it’s definitely your Spotify profile.
If you pick the wrong artist page, it may delay the distribution of the release or it will end up on the wrong artist’s page, causing all sorts of problems.
- Make sure your artist has the same Spotify profile selected throughout the release metadata.
If you’ve selected different artist pages at album level and at track level, we’ll have to return the release to you and ask you to correct it, again delaying the distribution of your release.
- Two Spotify artist pages.
If you’ve somehow ended up with two Spotify profiles for one artist, you can’t add the artist twice and pick a different profile for each. Stores will reject a release set up this way.
In the meantime feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions or concerns!
