In simple terms, a sync license is permission to use someone’s music within a visual medium.

A visual medium can be a film, series, video game, advert etc.

If you distribute creative content to YouTube, Instagram or Facebook, ensure to avoid claims by obtaining the right licensing!

If you are creating an audio-only product, such as CDs or vinyl records, you need a mechanical license instead. Mechanical is for audio only, synchronization is for video.
