Let me train your brain on this information 📃
With the increase of AI usage, you may be wondering if we will use your releases for AI training here at RouteNote.
While we can confirm that we will not use your music for AI training, we are unable to say for certain how our DSPs will proceed. It will depend on the DSPs that you choose to deliver your music to and their particular terms and conditions.
Unfortunately, we are unable to detect whether a DSP has used your releases for AI training. For this reason, we recommend that you reach out to the service provider directly if you have any concerns.
It is good to note that Spotify does not allow third parties to use its platform to train models. However, their privacy policies do allow them to train their own algorithmic models using listener habits and uploaded content.
Apple Music requires record labels and distributors to disclose if AI was used to create a release. They do not allow third parties to use their content for AI training.
Finally, YouTube Music also does not allow third parties to use content for AI training. However, creators can opt-in to this via YouTube Studio. YouTube has also expanded its Content ID system with synthetic-singing identification technology, which can help identify when an AI model has used an artist’s voice without permission.
