Are mechanical licenses expensive?

The price of the license will depend on how many digital downloads you think you’ll get and on the length of the audio.

Please note, throughout this article you’ll see the word ‘copies’. This is referring to the amount of digital downloads you think you’ll get.

With Affordable Song Licensing, you can select a minimum of 25 copies.

So for example, a 3-minute song with 25 copies may cost you around $18. 200 copies may cost you around $44.
And a 6-minute song with 25 copies may cost you roundabout $19. 200 copies may cost you about $48.

Once you’ve purchased your license, attach it to an email and send it over to moderation@routenote.com, along with the UPC of your release.
