What is a Pre-Save?

Lets not be pretending, we love some pre-saving 🤟

A pre-save is a link or URL that allows your fans to save your music prior to your release day.

With RouteNote, you can set a pre-order date. This allows your audience to buy your album or single before the date of release. You can add your pre-order for any time between being sent to stores upon approval and before your sales start date.

Once your album or single reaches it’s sales start date, the tracks will download automatically to the buyer’s library. Therefore, a pre-order date is the date from when your fans can buy your album or single to pre-order.

By creating a pre-save, you can encourage fans to save your music before it hits stores. On release day, your release will automatically be placed within your fan’s music library.

PUSH.fm

You can create pre-saves for free through PUSH.fm. The stores you can include within your Pre-save are; Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer. Please note! You should aim to create your pre-save 2–3 weeks before your music hits stores to allow enough time to market it.

When your fans click on your pre-save, they’ll select the store they want. Then, on release day they can check their music library and listen to your new release!
