Directions for the all-important Spotify collections 🗺️
Spotify’s playlists are taking over the music industry, with Spotify introducing 150,000 artists to new fans every week, and playlists with millions of followers, the possibilities are endless.
Great exposure like that could do wonders, so if you’re distributing your music to Spotify through RouteNote, you’re already half way there!
In order to pitch a release for a Spotify playlist, the release cannot be live. Spotify requires an unreleased release to add to their playlists, as these playlists are all about fans discovering new music.
You can set your Sales Start Date when creating/editing your new releases at least two weeks in advance. Giving you, the RouteNote team, and our friends at Spotify enough time to get your release at the ready.
Spotify have also created a website where you can pitch your releases for playlists, check it out!
You can also pitch your release for playlists through your Spotify for Artists account.
