Why did some of my chosen stores disappear?

Better to be safe than sorry … end up in a claiming conflict!

You may have noticed that some stores appear as unavailable while your release is in moderation. There is a reason for this!

Content recognition stores can only accept content that is original and does not match a known, copyrighted, or registered work. You can learn more about what they can and can’t accept here.

Our moderation team need to ensure that your release is eligible, so these few stores are temporarily until we can verify that there won’t be any issues. Once our moderators have decided your release is eligible, it will automatically be sent to them.

Our content recognition stores are:

  • YouTube Content ID
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp)
  • TikTok

If the release does not meet the eligibility requirements, these stores will be removed.

Every release in moderation is assessed in this way. It ensures that there are no claiming issues or conflicts further down the line and protects artists.

Please see here for our current moderation times.
