How can I add socials to my owned and operated channel (O&O) for an OAC?

Time to get the info ✍️

  • Your O&O channel description must include social media links (ideally verified) which represent your artist. This can include a link to Facebook, Instagram, or X as some examples. These links must be credited individually as YouTube can’t accept link-in-bio tools.

Here’s how you can add links:

  • On a computer, go to your channel and click the About tab. If you’re in the new YouTube layout, click Customize channel.
  • Hover over the “Links” section, then click edit.
  • Click the +Add button.
  • Enter the title and URL of the site you want to link to – you can add up to five links.
  • Click Done.
  • The names of your topic channel and your owned and operated channel must match identically. This includes spelling and capitalisation.
  • Your subscriber to views ratio must be legitimate, consistent, and show no sign of suspicious activity.
