What is Qobuz?

Qobuz is one of our many partner stores, we’ve been pals since 2020. Founded in 2007, Qobuz is a French music streaming and downloading platform – the first music service in the world to offer 24-Bit Hi-Res files for streaming to it’s Qobuz Sublime subscribers. In 2022, Qobuz offers more than 80 million tracks in CD and Hi-Res quality (24 bits up to 192 kHz).

Qobuz is a premium-only streaming service, with no ad-supported free option. It’s available across devices with apps for web, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, plus supports for hi-fi equipment such as Sonos speakers, as well as wireless listening protocols such as Chromecast, AirPlay, Bluetooth etc. A subscription will also get you access to original editorial content, with over 500,000 album reviews and artist bios, including new weekly interactive articles, exclusive content and expert playlists.

Studio Premier accounts are free for the first month, then $14.99 per month or $149.99 per year (roughly $12.49 per month). With no free trial or monthly payment options, Studio Sublime accounts are $249.99 per year (roughly $20.83 per month), giving you all of the same features, plus exclusive discounts on Hi-Res purchases. Family Plans are also available for both Premier and Sublime members, giving you 6 individual profiles.

Here’s how to get your music on the store…

  • Sign into your RouteNote account
  • Hover over Distribution
  • Select Create New Release
  • You can upload music as MP3 320kbps or FLAC 44.1 kHz to make use of Qobuz’s lossless streaming and downloading
  • Select Qobuz in the Manage Stores section
  • Send to moderation for review

And…you’re done!
